Deputy President Willim Ruto has dismissed allegations that Sh 21 billion has been lost in Kimwarer and Arror dams construction in Elgeyo Marakwet under active investigations by Kenyan authorities.
Speaking during the State of the Judiciary also attended by President Uhuru Kenyatta and Chief Justice David Maraga,Dr Ruto said no money had been lost.
Dr Ruto said all arms of the Government were working round the clock to prove to Kenyans that all funds released are accounted for.
The Deputy President said only Sh 7 Billion was under contests and its where about will be explained once investigations are concluded.
“Every sector and agency must plays its part,so that we prosecute on basis of facts, informations going round that Government has lost are flat lies,” he said
Dr Ruto said the Executive has the highest respects and regards for the judiciary and will offer full support in fight against corruption.
“We only raise concerns against the judiciary when there is something to disagree which is normal and allowed,” he said
“We know judiciary is made of professional people and we expect the highest of standards,” added Dr Ruto
Dr Ruto concluded that same standards and synergies must be used by all arms of government involved in the fighting against corruption.
