Harambee Stars has hit the ground running in Paris, France as the team gears up for the upcoming Africa Cup of Nations, set to be held in Egypt starting June 21, 2019.

The team jetted into France on Friday, May 31, 2019, and took a 1-hour bus drive to the French Rugby Federation, in Marcoussis, the venue for their three-week camp.

Stars have so far held six sessions from Monday afternoon, among them a morning muscle activation gym session.

Eleven players, most of whom are local based, traveled with the team on Friday from Nairobi, alongside seven Technical bench officials.

The rest of the Bench, among them assistant coach Nicolas Borriquet-Cor and goalkeeper trainer Guillaume Coffey, had already checked in at the facility.

Abud Omar and Ismael Gonzalez, meanwhile, linked up with the team in France on Friday and were joined on Saturday by Christopher Mbamba, Anthony Akumu, Joseph Okumu, and David Owino.

Faruk Shikalo and John Oyemba, who were on duty in the SportPesa Shield with their respective clubs on Sunday, checked into camp on Monday afternoon.

Sweden based Eric Johanna, Ovella Ochieng and Eric Ouma will also link up with the team on Monday evening, while Victor Wanyama, Patrick Matasi, and Ayub Timbe will check in on Tuesday.

Footbal boss John Mwendwa jetted into France on Monday morning. CEO Robert Muthomi is set to check in on Tuesday while Head of Communications and Marketing Barry Otieno will join the team on Wednesday morning. NEC Member for Eastern Nabea Muriithi had earlier on Friday been part of the first batch to France.

The federation in the meantime lined up two friendly matches, against Madagascar on June 7, 2019, in Paris and against the Democratic Republic of Congo on June 15, 2019, in Madrid, Spain.

The team will then jet out to Cairo, Egypt, on June 19, 2019, in time for the continental showpiece.

Kenya will play her Group C matches at the 30 June Stadium in Cairo. The first match will see Harambee Stars face Algeria on June 23. Tanzania will be up next on June 27, before Stars wind up their group stage matches against Senegal on July 1, 2019.
